Features

200 Stantonville Drive is a spacious, light-filled, open concept property with two distinct living areas: a 1BD/1.5BA main home with a lower studio level space containing an additional full bath. Located in the Oakland Hills, against the backdrop of Redwood Regional Park and moments from Montclair, this 2,232 square foot home features sweeping bay views as well as a breathtaking rear garden.

Upon first entering this lovely home, you are welcomed by a versatile and spacious open concept living/dining area distinguished by large picture windows overlooking the bay, gleaming hardwood floors, and a distinctive fireplace with a mahogany-carved mantle. Continue through this welcoming space and you will find yourself taking in 200 Stantonville’s spacious chef’s kitchen, which is lit by a large skylight and features sleek granite countertops, ample cabinetry and glass French doors that lead to a beautiful solarium overlooking the home’s remarkable rear garden.

Within the well-tended garden you will find a stone paved walkway; one beautiful flower bed after another reveals itself, complemented by lovingly maintained planters. The garden includes California lilac, jasmine, yarrow, fig trees, hydrangeas, citrus trees, trumpet vine, succulents and roses, as well as a barbecue area, together creating a beautiful space for entertaining.

Back inside 200 Stantonville, ascend a split level staircase you will find a half bath and an extremely spacious owner’s suite with large picture windows, sliding French doors, open bath with granite finishes, and gorgeous views of the garden and of the hills behind. In the bath area of the owner’s suite is a step-in shower with two showerheads, terra-cotta tile floor, and a deep, luxurious bathtub.

From the home’s common area, a staircase descends to the lower level, where one can find a large studio space with its own patio overlooking the garden and hillside. The studio features its own exterior entrance, a large living space with a stone fireplace, a kitchenette, a full bath with step-in shower, and a walk-in closet. The studio is graced by exposed beams while sliding glass doors lead to the private patio.

Neighborhood

Named for the poet of the High Sierras, the Joaquin Miller-Crestmont neighborhood is a tranquil, woodsy area in the heights of Oakland. Bordered by one of the only urban second-growth redwood groves in existence, miles of trails, and picnic grounds, the district offers plenty of activity for outdoor lovers. Homes include Mediterranean and traditional structures on large plots of land.

Just minutes from the hustle and bustle of the city, the Joaquin Miller-Crestmont neighborhood offers a range of activities, many of which center on 500-acre Joaquin Miller Park. Inside the park, Sequoia Horse Arena offers trail rides, and goats graze the underbrush to help control the vegetation. A neighborhood community center can be rented for weddings, picnics, and local events. And as a plus for dog owners, the park is one of the few open-space areas that allow dogs off leash. Nearby Redwood Regional Park provides miles of hiking, running, and biking trails.

Chabot Space & Science Center straddles the top of the ridge at Skyline Boulevard, one of the premier science museums in the country, with a focus on astronomy and space exploration and a robust calendar of family-friendly events — including Slumber with the Stars overnight adventures, hikes, and dinner-and-a-movie Supper Club social events. The area offers sweeping views of the San Francisco Bay, downtown Oakland, and the San Francisco skyline. Nearby is the Woodminster Amphitheater, a favorite place for East Bay families to take in shows year-round — including summer musical under the stars.
